All Aboard Florida is an intercity passenger rail project that will connect Miami to Orlando with intermediate stations in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. This rail service will provide Floridians and visitors a viable transportation alternative to congested highways and airport terminals.

All Aboard Florida’s station in Miami represents a bright, new future for the City’s downtown area. The Miami Central Station will be a mixed use development with retail, commercial and parking. There have been negotiations to bring a very well known supermarket as a resident to the project, that will make the station very convenient for the passengers and residents of the area.

The Downtown Miami station will be located at NW 1st Ave between NW 3rd Street and NW 8th Street. The 2-acre multi-use gateway complex will be located in Historic Overtown at the corner of NW 2nd Avenue and NW 6^th.

It is expected that the project will create 10,000 jobs on average per year at the construction during 2014 – 2016. It will have US 6 Billion dollars impact in Florida’s economy over the next eight years. The station construction will start early 2015. This project will add to the increasing attractiveness of Miami, there will be time savings of apprx 25% vs existing travel options and it will make it easier for tourists to travel within the State of Florida.
